Wrong Choices
By Amber Holtgrave
(Contact: amberholtgrave@hotmail.com)

On that dark, rainy night,
Why did you choose not to do what was right?

Late that night you were on a joy ride,
you were only thinking of your pride.

You were going 95 in a 55 zone,
And because of that you changed many other’s lives, not just your own.

Why didn’t you slow down when you saw the hill?
I guess you thought you were in for a thrill.

You ran into an oncoming car,
And the driver of that car was thrown pretty far.

You cared about nothing on that night except having fun,
And now because of that the other driver’s life is done!
