The Shooting Star

Your great smile,
Your bright shining eyes.
When I look at them,
My heart starts to cry.
It cries for happiness and sadness,
And itss just fine,
Cuz I know in my heart that you will never be mine.
And I'm just sitting here in a puddle of tears.
Just waiting for the day that will never be here.
I know it's unreasonable to think that you are,
But you left as fast as a shooting star.
And whether or not you believe it is true,
You tore my little heart right into two.
And I'm just sitting here
Holding it all inside,
Except for this one little tear
That I just can't hide.
