Drag my feet across the house
Weary etched like an art on my brows
Picking up strewn pieces of yesterday
Stale to the taste of bright today
Over the window my blooms wither
Did I water them enough or are they bitter
Maybe my fingers are too cold
Prepare for doom o' leaves of old

Drag myself to the surface in a blink
Away from disdain for my mind to think
The faces of you cling on torturously
And I push them away ever so gently
Yesterday may not be so blessed
But today I survive and live life at best
Away from you free at last
And all the hurting.. burnt to dust.
