Goodbye Friendship
By Sarah Hontz
(Contact: sasync66@email.com)

How can you say your my friend,
When all you do is treat me wrong?
How could you possibly think we were friends,
When all you do is cause me pain and harm?

The signs were there,
And I was just too blind to see.
When you stole my boyfriend,
Right up from under me.

But I forgave you
Thinking that people change.
While all along you were just lying
And playing foolish games.

I'm doing fine without you.
So don't worry, I will carry on.
I just can't believe you could be so cruel.
When I never did you wrong.

I did anything for you.
Took you when you were in need.
Was your shoulder to cry on,
And a Very Best friend indeed.

But this is it.
Our friendship is over.
You are no longer the one I will confide in.
Not now or ever again.

How could you do this to me?
You were my Best Friend.
Don't make up more lies and excuses.
That will do no good.
But you can't say that
I never really understood.
Well this is Farewell and Goodbye,
But this time I will surely
Not have the last cry!
