An Eye To the Sky
By James Cotter
(Contact: Hopefearlove4298@aol.com)

I look back now and I see us,
5 years of friendship between the two of us.
We've gone through a lot, thick and thin,
But I still hold you close deep within.
The nights we stayed on the phone real late,
Man those times were surely great.
Or remember the time you spent the night,
We colored and drew until dawn's early light.
God those memories are just so nice,
But time like always has taken its price.
Your wings have grown to large for me,
And take you skyward with an angel's glee.
So fly my angel; fly so high,
And goto your horizon where ever it may lie.
But keep this in mind as you fly so high,
That my heart and friendship is here;
with an eye to the sky.
