In my life I have been through a lot,
but I'm not the innocent girl
you thought you could trust.
I have been bad, and I have been good,
but you have always loved me
more than you should.
You are my parents
who have been there through it all.
You are the ones that are there
to make sure I don't fall.
You've helped me through so much
and protected me like you should,
yet, you always let me find
the bad and the good.
You have never stolen my sunshine
and taken away my rain.
You have let me see that in life
there is more to it than just a name.
You have helped me with the hard stuff
and seen me through it all.
Never did you let me know you were mad
just that I was misunderstood.
You have gone through so much with me,
more than I think I would be able to bare.
Without your love and guidance,
I don't think I would be here.
In my life I've made mistakes
in which I should have known,
but you never seemed to love me less,
but yet to put me higher on the "throne."
You treat me like your angel,
your princess, and your bean,
but never has a day gone by
where I have not felt like the queen.
So in this poem I hope you find
that a life without you guys
just wouldn't be mine.
