Staring through her blood shot eyes,
to the mirror that showed her,
what she thought, was no lies,
my friend Kim, put on a disguise.
She pushed down the tweezer,
ever so light,
and she finally gave into her only fright.
As the blood rushed down
her already scarred arms,
she tried to convince herself
that it wouldn't do much harm.
She had punished herself
for what she did today,
weighing only 108 pounds,
this 5'6" girl was on her way...
She had eaten one too many things for supper,
and couldnt afford to eat another,
even though her stomach growled,
and her head ached,
my best friend Kim, pushed away that plate.
She soaked up the blood,
which had dripped on the floor,
with her once white washcloth
that had now had been hidden by the door.
Now she sits, alone in the dark,
looking at these marks
which eat away at her heart.
The worst part is that my little Kimmy
had given up the fight.
Now I see her once and a while,
but it was her, not me, who's in denial.
She is beautiful, in every which way,
I tried to tell her that, but it just didnt pay.
