Night
By Jennifer Pool
In loving memory of David
The stars were like diamonds
The moon, a magic orb
The velvet sky was holding us
Within it's silk-like arms
But that night turned to fear
The stars and moon no longer friends
You were hurt and maybe dying
The darkness seemed so thick
My love stayed with you through the night
I never left your side
But as the moon sank low in the sky
You gave me love's last kiss
Your eyes were filled with peace and love
As you passed into a better place
