The Pain
By Heather Theofilatos
The pain I feel the tears I cry,
When friends ask me what's wrong I always lie,
"I'm fine" I say,
"You wouldnt understand anyway",
Then they give up without a care,
I feel like running but I dont know where,
Where can I go to get away from it all?
Sometimes I feel like I'm two feet tall,
No one understands that I hurt too,
All they think is "Nothing is wrong with her,
she's always in a good mood",
I wish they would look at me, the real me,
Not only my face and my body,
But what's inside, what makes me hurt,
What makes me feel lower then dirt,
What makes sad and makes me frown,
What somehow manages to bring me down,
What makes me feel that no one is there for me,
What makes me feel that only my family loves me,
What makes me feel that no one understands me,
What makes me feel so damn unhappy,
What makes me never want to open up,
What makes me want to go to sleep and never wake up,
What makes me feel that everything
everyone tells me are lies,
What makes feel the pain when some
one close to me cries,
I have nothing but love for my friends
and my family,
But it doesn't mean anything until I learn
to love me!
