Free Backgrounds

To My Best Friend
By Constance Woody
(Contact: AnAthena4u143@aol.com)

Dedicated to Katie

You've marred your body in times of anguish,
Those pains I wish away I could kiss.

Your eyes are salted with endless tears.
I wish I could ease away your pains, your fears.

You've spouted in anger, yelled in rage,
You've pourn your heart out on page after page.

You've a full realization that life isn't fair,
You just don't realize that friends like you are rare.

On your heart people's words and thoughts sear,
You are unfortunately much older than your years.

I can't say I know how you completely feel,
      can't have lots of empathy,
But I can say I'm here for you,
I do have best friend sympathy.

I'm praying for your peace of mind and soul,
And that you will come to me when life takes it's toll.
