Ever After
By Debi Coleman

Hello, are you there?
Were wondering if you really care.
My friend was killed the other day,
all her family can do is pray.
Children are thin and left to starve,
unknowing of how to even laugh.
A little old lady was raped in her bed.
A newborn baby laying dead,
Her mother weeping by her side,
scared of the world and forced to hide.
They all turn to you in their hour of need,
when the time comes will you help me?
After this life can we be free?
Angels may watch a special few,
but what will happen for me and you?
