My Promise To You
By Nick Zeigler
(Contact: cyrexnz@yahoo.com)

I don't know how to start this poem
I just want to tell the truth
I just want to tell you how much of a gift you are
A gift from God, that I hope I am to you, too

Just hearing your voice brings me joy
But seeing your smile is so much more
It brings happiness to every one of my days
It brings happiness knocking on my door

The thought of not talking to you again
Brings sadness to my heart
For where would I be without my best friend
I would be alone, and in the dark

I promise to you I will never ignore you again
It was a stupid mistake that I had done
I think God wants us to be best friends
And I try my hardest to do whatever God wants

I just wanted to write this poem
To let you know how special you are
You will forever mean the world to me
And I will never ever leave you afar

I will stick with you through thick and thin
I will be by your side forever
I will comfort you when you are sad
I will help you with anything, whenever

With all these things that I have said
There is one main promise that will be kept
No matter what happens Karissa, I promise
I promise you will always be my true best friend
