The Truth I Tell
By Emily Hamkin
(Contact: big_dar12@hotmail.com)

I try and try my hardest.
I try to be nice to let you know
how I really feel.
Do you even notice?
Do you even care?
Those are the questions
I ask myself every day.

When I let you know how I feel
all you do is shy away
like I'm telling a lie and I'm not.
All I want to let you know
is that I love you
and that I'm glad I have you.
All I want is my BROTHER,
to know as my BROTHER,
not as a stranger.
