Till the End...
By Jenn Boutilier
(Contact: jenny.b@home.com)
Till the end, I thought of you
And I watched, while your dreams came true,
And followed the path, you asked me to,
you were always my best friend.
Then one day, straight and true,
I saw you, the way others do,
And I decided then, that we were through,
You're no longer my best friend.
As a lay here, I think of you,
The way that I used to,
As I take my last dying breath, right on cue,
I know now, I was never wrong, its true.
The AIDS, now consumed me too,
As they did, when I knew you,
how I wish, that I could say sorry, Sue,
And I wish that I knew you...
Till the end...
