Reconstruction
By Cathy Broaders
(Contact: cmab41@yahoo.com.au)

Be still my heart
For you have been tortured, broken

Be quiet my lips
Many words left unspoken,

Be calm my mind
For you have been deceived

Be strong my body
You became a victim of greed,

Be replenished my energy
For you have been drained

Be pacified my tears
You have fallen in vain,

Be gentle my soul
For you have been torn

Be positive my thoughts
There is no solace in scorn,

Be silent my anger
For you have been raised

Be healed my hurt
You were exposed, displayed,

Be soothed my pain
For although you have grown

Be softened my suffering
Give life to the seeds wisdom has sown,

Be evident my esteem
Albeit you have not been sighted

Be reconstructed my love
For you have been unrequited ...
